STOP PRESS

We currently have a vacancy for the Volunteer Chair position as well as for an Admin Assistant. Please click on the links for further details.

Cruse Bereavement Care exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people and to enable anyone suffering bereavement caused by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss.

We also offer regular training days for individuals and are able to deliver bespoke training to larger groups and organisations.

Cruse in Birmingham has been in existence since 1977 and provides free bereavement support and counselling to anyone living in the Birmingham area, irrespective of age, race, gender, culture, religion, ethnicity and disability.

The volunteers who provide this support service receive rigorous and demanding bereavement training. In accordance with best practice, every volunteer is allocated to a trained supervisor so that quality of performance is regularly monitored and expertise enhanced. Volunteers continually receive in-house training, elements of which are obligatory such as Child Protection Procedures, and this training ensures provision of a quality service.

Please look around our website for more information about the kind of support we offer, it is very varied and we try to cover most people's needs.
