Flora London Marathon
Location: London, April 2009

From its relatively small beginnings in 1981 the Flora London Marathon has become a national institution. The Marathon is now the largest annual fundraising event in the world raising over £40 million for charity annually. The marathon is ranked in the top five of international marathons, along with Boston, Chicago, New York, and Berlin. It is also the only Marathon in the world that is run in two hemispheres, both the East and West, as the full course crosses the Prime Meridian in Greenwich. Cruse asks for a £300 non refundable deposit and that you pledge to raise a minimum of £950 sponsorship money to help bereaved people - we have a runner taking part.

2008 Bupa Great North Run
Event type: Half Marathon
Location: Newcastle, 5 October 2008

The Bupa Great North Run is the world’s largest half marathon running event. Participants run between Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields in England. The race will be celebrating its 28 th Anniversary in 2008. Cruse asks for a non-refundable deposit of £60 and that you pledge to raise a minimum of £300 sponsorship money to help bereaved people.
